Hi all I joined forum December 2018, in Feb 2006 was diagnosed with Addisons it means some of my glands don't work and I have to take permanent medication(steroids) to stay alive. On February 2016 was diagnosed with cancer I'm on permanent hormone therapy (decapeptyl) and chemotherapy(docetaxel) when needed to. The cancer has gone from the prostate to lymph nodes to, ribs, pelvis, spine and one lung. I'm living a fairly normal life with my uninvited guest,. i Also look after my disabled wife who needs 24/7care she has Alzheimers and parkinsons +other things , carers come in morning to help me wash my wife.. If anyone interested my psa was 1581. Gleason 8 stage 4 T3B N1 M1B .The last 18 months I've been on new meds (Enzalutamide) 180 mg its what they give to men who want a sex change, really knocked me for 6 to start with luckily dose has been lowered to 120 mg and health improved still got low BP so got to take it easy, no energy at all but keeping positive always,as im alive and keeping going. That was around 2020 , still on Enzalutamide dose down to 80 mg BP has gone over 100, yippee . still up and down though . energy fluctuates alot, probably age doesn't help, keeping the garden tidy and doing odd jobs, keep the house tidy,do a bit and rest it gets done main thing. Oncologist is thinking of taking me off those tablets for a couple of months to see if energy levels increase , not sure about that idea as PSA is rising very slowly date is April 2022 . Big words are :- metastatic bony metastases - prostate adenocarcinoma :- retro peritoneal lymphadenopathy. I have other problems as well but these are the main ones. Best wishes to you all reading this, .... Billy
