  • Hello again everyone

I just wanted to let you know that although I haven’t been on here for a while you are all in my thoughts and prayers every day. I’m just finding the emotional side of this very difficult, as I know you all are too.

Rosie80, I’m sorry you find yourself on here, but I’m sure you’re finding the support of these lovely ladies invaluable.

With ongoing love & very best wishes to you all

    Helen

  • Hi Helen

Thank you very much for your kind words.  It is truly awful to have to be on this site but as you righty say, the support of the ladies here is proving totally invaluable and a great source of comfort.

It's good to be able to through the posts in those dark hours of night when sleep is illusive and find answers to questions I didn't know I had.

I will be honest, this is a hard time of life but I'm doing my utmost to keep positive.

Sending you some really positive vibes and a virtual hug to try and help you at the moment.

    Rosie

  • HI Helen,

I'm so sorry to hear that you are struggling emotionally  at the moment. If it is of any consolation, we all do at your stage, but rest assured that we are all here for you, whether you want information, a chat or just simply to rant.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

Just checking in to see how you are? It can be tough sometimes with everything that's going on, it feels like you go from one appointment to the next with no time to think about the enormity of what's going on.

anyway - always here if you need a chat.

  • Morning Woollylamb

Unfortunately my operation was cancelled last Friday due to my blood test results.  Currently being treated for that and have more results tomorrow to see if operation can go ahead yet or if we need to wait a bit longer.  Will let you know.

How you doing?  Is the recovery from skin graft progressing well? xx

  •

    Hi Rosie,

You must have been very disappointed to have your operation cancelled last week because of your bloods. I sincerely hope that tomorrow's results will be better and that you can go ahead with surgery.

    Fingers crossed.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi Jolamine

Thank you, I was gutted but understand they have to ensure everything is right before they go ahead.  Roll on tomorrow..............

You know what the one positive of all this, I have lovely long nails, something I've always dreamt of so hoping I now keep them to Christmas!!!!

Will let you know how tomorrow goes!! xx

  • Hi

yes all going well, reviewed today and the graft has taken, . Also got my appointment for the radiotherapy oncologist next week. So we are motoring on.

Sorry to hear it was cancelled but it all needs to be right before it can go ahead. Fingers crossed  it all can go ahead. I have lovely nails for the first time ever as well which is a bonus.

    Thinking of you for tomorrow.

  • Hi Woollylamb and [@Jolamine]‍

Well all is good, the treatment has worked, blood results were good and I've been told I can now go ahead and have my mastectomy!!!

Now just to wait for the phonecall telling me when to go in, hopefully it won't be long but in the meantime there's always something to do so will be ticking things off my list.

Wishing you both a fabulous weekend.  Mine is going to start at 6pm with a glass of white!
