Sorry you've found yourself here, but I hope you find this place as helpful and supportive as I have.

Really sorry about the news of your mum, and I can imagine your dad's face from the twice my mum has been diagnosed with cancer.

I imagine you already realise that none of us can tell you timeframes for your mum, even her medical team may struggle to answer that at this time, but it is often something that people feel would help them to know.

All I can really say is that, cancer aside, any one of us could die tomorrow.  Sounds trite I know, but it's true.  So my advice really would be to focus on the quality of the time you have with your mum rather than trying to guess how long you will have with her.  Even when doctors do get to a stage of venturing a timeframe it won't be accurate enough to go by.  If you focus on it and end up with more time then great, but if you end up with less time you may not have done the things you wanted to do, it's a risk.

Make the time count as best you can.
