Anyone been through this???
Anyone been through this???
Hi
At the moment we don't know the size of my husbands cancer, just that it is stage 3b. So it's in up to 6 lymph nodes. They were concerned about a lymph node near his aorta but it came back within normal parameters. Which isn't quite the same as saying it's normal. So I expect they will keep a particular watch on that area.
The next results meeting isn't till the 7th of may, so I will get in touch with my husbands cancer nurse
My husband has signed up for a trial where they give you chemo and radiotherapy at the same time.
I hope it goes well for you both Caz68. It took weeks of tests and waiting before we got the size fo the cancer, my husband also has one of the affeced lymph nodes very close to the aorta, it's hte only one the surgeon is concerned about due to it's position. Before the trial it was touch and go as to whether surgery was an option. It's a long hard slog and recovery takes months not weeks so we've been told.
Hang on in there, if you want to chat feel free to direct message me - if that's possible on here
Hi
I have sent a friend request. I hope your husband continues to do well.
Hi Caz,
My hubby had both chemo and radiation at the same time. Chemo every Monday for 6 weeks and radiation each day for 6 weeks. Hope your husbands treatment works well.
All the best. Sue
Hi sue
Thanks for your good wishes
Hi caz
We got news yesterday that basically its all too late for my dad scan showed his tumour has a hole in it and it has grown upwards and lengthened which would explain his choking n stuff the last few weeks
Feeling really down as his diagnosis on 28th december and not one try of any treatment to now just wait and make him comfortable
Dad is heartbroken and scared
All the original feelings towards his diagnosis is back and im feeling more angry and upset than ever
Xxxx

I really feel for you and your dad. It's truly awful.
My husband is likely to miss the 62 deadline which is making me really anxious.
Have they offered your dad any pallative treatment?
Sending Hugs.
