Oh my, you simply mustn't try and do this on your own, now more than ever you need good support around you. Do you have people around you? Family! I think you may find they will be cross you kept quiet.....tell someone soon....I urge you....you will have masses of support on here too.....please? Xxx

Just want to say welcome ... your never alone on here ... no matter what the world throws at you , one of us will have been there ... maybe let them in after new year ... it is hard to tell people but it helps in the long run ...

There's lots of us breast lasses on here regular and wer all still standing ... jolomine helped me through the begining scary time, and others have joined us along the way ... [@Sandra123]‍ , [@rileyroo]‍ ... [@Jbains]‍ to name a few ... 

I had a grade 3 her2 neg oestrogen positive lump .. and I had a total right masectomy July last year ... for me looking back, the scariest time, was where you are now ... the fear of the unknown was overwhelming... the op itself wasn't half as bad as I'd imagined ... and breast cancer has come a long way ... we always hear of people loosing this fight, but there are many kicking cancers butt down along this journey...  

But with jolomine by your side you'll be o.k ... I was ... and here I am nearly 18 months on ... so take heart .. and know it's o.k to cry, scream, rant, laugh or whatever your feeling ... we were all scared .. but we got our boxing gloves on, and we all got in the ring ready to knock cancer for 6 ... it's not about winning or loosing this battle, it's about looking it in the eye, and not letting it change who we are ...

Hey Smiler. Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. But you are on the radar now and will be treated. That's is the most reassuring thing. It's very hard to come to terms with and is a tough old journey but you'll get through.

This forum is and was my saviour and do remember one thing - we all react differently to every step of this process. Hang in there and best thing I did was to totally avoid Google, write down questions as and when I thought of them and asked my medical team at appts. I felt more in control the more I knew.

Tell someone - perhaps outside the family whom you can trust. Or the other option is tell family and also tell them you need them to now make xmas enjoyable and that you will be ok. I was also diagnosed dec 28 2016 so can understand what you're saying. I only told my hubby and kids and my sister's due to the genetic risk.  The more you talk about it the less scary it is and helps to come to terms with it but it's totally up to you how you want to do this. I didn't seĺl rest if family until I was well into treatment as I needed the help with house stuff then.
