We're totally disgusted with the amount of time wasted!! They talk about aggressive cancers yet dont seem to act very fast 

shocking and embarrassing to say I'm a nurse in the NHS 

We're in the same boat. My dad was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer two weeks ago and we've been waiting for 4 days to find out about a scan date, and a plan of action in terms of treatment/surgery etc. I know they're trying their best and there's more than him on their case load, but waiting is the hardest part. sorry to hear you are still waiting for your results as I know its a difficult and stressful time. Just to say that the waiting time is the worst time but the decision re treatment plan can only be made by a team - the oncologist, ENT surgeon, speciaist radiologist etc at what they call an MDT medti g so that may be the reason for the delay. My husband got his initial diagnosis of squamous cell ca in his lymph nodes in his neck ? Where the primary was on the 8th Dec 2015 and we didnt get his treatment plan until Jan 4th and he didnt start treatment until Feb 8th as there is alot of preperation prior to go through prior to this.
