  • Hi Maggiem88 and a warm welcome to our forum,

Thank you for coming here and sharing your story and I hope that you will come across other members of our community who have had a similar diagnosis and experience. It must have been a big shock to find out that your tumour had grown in size from 20mm to 50mm after surgery and that one of the 5 lymph nodes tested positive. I can imagine you are worried about the CT scan and I am keeping everything crossed for you that there is no other spread and that you won't have to wait too long for the CT scan.

We have detailed information on our website on invasive lobular breast cancer and on treatment for invasive lobular breast cancer and if you have any questions at any point or simply wish to talk things through, our nurses have a helpline you can call on this free number 0808 800 4040  which is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

There is also  's thread New Diagnosis of Lobular Breast Cancer posted about 3 months ago which you are welcome to respond to if you wish - this member is a similar age to you too. I hope that you will get to connect with others on here who have had a similar diagnosis and treatment plan and if you type the keywords 'lobular breast cancer' in our forum search which is located at the top of the page, you will be able to find other relevant threads on the subject and respond to any you feel you would like to engage with.
