Urethral Neuroendocrine Cancer

My Wife has recently been diagnosed with Urethral Neuroendocrine Cancer It was discussed a couple of years ago in hospital and she was told that it was a Caruncle and to leave it be. Anyhow, 2 years down the line someone higher up the food chain suggested removal with a biopsy where the biopsy suggested Neuroendocrine Cancer. I'm having a problem finding any literature due to the rarity of the cancer. Has anyone come across this type before?

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat SteveeandLes, although I'm sorry for the reason you're joining us.

You can find out more about neuroendocrine cancer on our website but if you or your wife have any further questions about your her diagnosis you can give our cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very well informed, and with their knowledge and insight they will do all they can to give you the information you seek and make you aware of any further literature that can be found about this type of cancer that you may like to read up on.

Some members within our community have also been diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer, so you're not alone SteveeandLess, and hopefully a few of them will stop by when they can to offer their support and advice.

I hope this helps, and that you won't have to wait too long to find out what happens next.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
