My wife commemced chemotherapy in November. She was warned that her hair would fall out after the first session. That was true. She had her third session on Monday (three week intervals). She uses electric shears on her head for convenience. She has a couple of wigs but prefers a hat. She has now become extremely tired. She says her arms itch but doesn't use any special cosmetics.   

Hi Jay ... sorry to read your wife has been given a diagnosis of breast cancer  ... but huge hugs to you for reaching out for advice.

I was diagnosed 8 wks ago and so far have had 2 of 6 chemo treatments .... withing 10 days of the first chemo my hair began to fall out and scalp became very sensitive so i too like Blue-girl suggested use a baby friendly shampoo at first but now i have only stubble left so use a good moisturiser for the bald areas. 

On new years eve i took control of what seemed the only thing i could control ... and shaved my head ... since then have a fast growing selection of scarfs/ hats
