In shock: I have endometrial cancer which looks like stage one

Just had a call today following biopsies and heard the words you have cancer...that is not all that was said, and I'm still processing and filtering. I have endometrial cancer which looks like stage one, now waiting for an mri appointment. I have been reading all day, I know it could be so much worse, I'm aware of all the facts and stats, but I still feel in a state of shock, I can't bring myself to tell anyone because I'm not sure I can handle the reactions. I feel kind of numb, like it's all a strange dream. I apologise for not making any sense, and if I don't respond, I just needed to say out out loud somewhere, I have cancer, I still don't quite believe it !!!

Hi, holiday was good, not always the good weather we like but what can we do.

Then unfortunately first day back I went down with COVID which knocked me for six.

on the mend now and now away with all the family, kids and grandchildren. Could have done with a few more days to completely recover but had been booked for a while.

Glad you had a nice holiday, still all seems surreal to me. Hope your treatment goes well. You have this! Let’s embrace the winter this year… we have beaten cancer xx

Covid! What a nightmare still least your on the mend. It all seems unreal to me to and since the hysterectomy time seems to have flown by like a dream, perhaps I’ll wake up and realise it was {wishful thinking) Have a great time with your family and cherish every minute with them. Best wishes and keep in touch x

Hi, glad the treatment went well and you are feeling good.

Im now also feeling good even managed a cruise last month on which we got some sunshine.

After the operation unfortunately my night sweats returned and I struggled to get a good nights sleep. My consultant and GP advised me not to go back on HRT as the Cancer could return, so they have put me on an antidepressant which seems to be working.

Im also looking forward to the summer.

Im now waiting for my second checkup.

Hope all goes well on yours. Take care J x
