Very helpful reading this . I am newly diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and do not know what to tell my grandson who we have raised form 4 months or my beautiful granddaughter. We're trying to wait until he finishes a levels and she her finals but if I am asked to start treatment before then we'll have to as I am determined to fight this as much as I can. 

I am a bit apprehensive about cycles 4-7 as it's a different chemo  (Docetaxel) and apparently side effects are worse. Just hope the next two go as well as the first, will just have to wait and see how the docetaxel goes. How many cycles did you fave to have and are you still going through treatment?

Different chemo (EOX - which they don’t seem to use now) different primary (stage 4 gastric-oesophageal junction) but I had 4 x 3 week cycles. 
1 & 2 were OK but 3 & 4 knocked me for six. 
I’ve just been on a watch (CT scans) and wait regime since 2014. 
I’ve been over the moon, but apprehensive, ever since!

Good to hear you are doing so well, but can understand your apprehension. I'm sure if I manage to beat this cancer, I'll be the same. Just have to try and stay as positive as possible I suppose!

You're so right every day is a bonus. I'm trying to be as happy as I can be in the circumstances. Not always easy, but I'm trying my best!
