PS. Should have mentioned the results of a follow up blood test on December 1st, where my PSA was down to 4 from 310.  Hopefully it will continue to drop as testosterone production by all the metastases is eliminated to the best of the ‘drug treatment’ capability.

Hello again.  There is a really good 2023 update from the Prostate Cancer Institute in the USA.  Not all drugs mentioned are available in the UK, but it does give you a more positive view on cancer treatment.  Search under Google -  2023 Mid Year #Prostate Cancer Patient Conference. 

I have today been posted to Woodywood1 of  my PC experience since September.  You may be interested in following.  My.PSA was 310 in September 2023 and with ADT treatment since October it had dropped to 4 as of December 1st.  Hoping it will drop to close to Zero in the next blood test.  My testosterone level has certainly dropped with hot flushes, some hair loss, shrinkage of testicles and the odd ache.

That is amazing that your PSA has dropped that much my husbands PSA was 768 we don't know if it has dropped yet I am hoping so he had a CT scan and bone scan last Friday he has a biopsy tomorrow 19th December did they say if urs was advanced or not thank you for replying 

How long ago was you diagnosed 

My blood test was on September 4, 2023 with PSA at 310. Diagnosed at my first appointment with Oncology on September 20th. Put on 14 days Bicalutamide (ADT).  CT and Bone scans followed quickly with Biopsy on October 4th.  Full diagnostic situation of bone lesions advised on October 27th. Had a Decapeptyl injection (ADT) good for 30 days, with this followed up by an injection on December 1st good for 90 days. Next injection scheduled for January 24th. In the interim I have chosen the course of action previously mentioned. Hope this information helps as at the start of this ‘journey’ I didn’t know what to expect.
