Lobular carcinoma grade 2 15mm

On Friday I was diagnosed with breast cancer also in my right arm pit. These next two weeks are making me go mad the the wait for more tests :(. So emotional can’t stop crying thinking I’m not gonna make it through this. Cant sleep or take my mind off it. It’s only been 4 days since diagnosed but just got sent away and not heard from anyone. They say the two week wait is hard. It sure is. I suffer with anxiety and panic disorder and this had made it 10 times worse. Just always thinking the worst. Does it get easier?

  • Hi there

Sorry you find yourself here. I get you. I was diagnosed in March with Grade 2 20mm lobular. You are right there is a fair bit of waiting for tests and their results, but I don’t think you can read too much into how quickly they do things presently. They are sadly under-resourced and it is also peak holidays.

I’m not sure what they’ve done so far on you but, if they’ve seen a lesion I expect they will biopsy it to see if it is Her2, PR and ER positive or negative. These results help them produce a tailored treatment plan for you.

Although lobular is the second most common breast cancer, it is quite different. If you do Facebook there is an informative and supportive group there called Linking Lobular Ladies.

Keep busy, keep doing things, the time will go by. We are always here to talk. Hugs xx
