How do you move on? Breast cancer

It's been almost a month since I finished active treatment for breast cancer. Because of the type of cancer it was, I won't be on any tablets or anything, so other than a check up in a few months im pretty much finished with it all.

im only 23 and have no idea how to move on from everything I've been through, please help!!

  • Take one day at a time. You are young and alive my friend always said to me onwards and upwards she passed away a few years ago she had ovarian cancer which came back. Be kind to yourself you've gone through one of the worst ordeals of your life. But you are still here smiling living and make sure you do live and do it without regrets.all the best xx

  • Hello love,

this is such a good question ️ Moving on after cancer can be a struggle for some. It can feel like being stuck in limbo....the medical treatments are over, physically you're recovered but mentally you still need healing.

I want to recommend a great book called " The cancer misfit" by Saskia Lightstar ....a breast cancer survivor....I read it and knew I wasn't the only one who felt this way....pieces of my jigsaw fell into place.

You could also join a survivors group ( your breast nurse will have info on this) it may help you to be among others in the same boat.

please pop on for a chat if you feel up to it, I totally know how you feel ️

  • Morning Honey

I'm due to end the 'big treatments' soon. I have just had my last chemo and then just radio to go. I will be on tamoxifen though.

I'm going to register for some Macmillan counselling. Are you? I have heard wonderful things about it from friends that have been in similar situations to us.

    Sending love Sarah xxx
