My Journey Continues

Hi all my forum buddies.  Just wanted to post on a new thread as it is more relevant than where my journey began.  Hope to see you here. Jules

  • Thank you Hazel. A day off from work to spend with the family and then back to work!

Wishing you a peaceful and happy Christmas and all the very best for 2019.  Hugs Jules

  • Hi Brian

Great news about your last show of the  year.Well done to all involved.

Shame about the dental problems but glad you could get it fixed before tomorrow's festivities. Just being nosy but what does a chap who has a limited diet have for Christmas lunch? Whatever you have hope you have a lovely day.

My sense of humour is alive and well........................just notified the family that I had a Lottery win over the weekend  and then followed it up with another message of champagne for breakfast!!  Just had to break the news that champagne down-graded to prosecco............winnings collected (drum roll please)  £9.60.

Best wishes for a good Christmas and peaceful New Year to you both. Jules

  • To all the Moderators and 'back room' staff Thanks for all your hard work in keeping the forum safe and sound. Hope you and  your families have a very peaceful and  happy Christmas and all the very best for 2019.

  • Hi Jules,

Well done on your lottery win. Hope you have had a great Christmas and had a great time with family.

Allthough I got my tooth filled, It continued aching until yesterday. I have also had that sickness bug which started on Christmas day and Is still not completely gone. I also have had a sty on my eye which troubled me. We wernt able to go and see our son due to my illness and him picking up one heck of a cough. So its not been one of our best Christmas's as I coudnt eat any of my chestnuts or even Mrs B's cheese buisciuts she made for me allthough I have just finished them this morning  The good thing is I have lost five pounds in weight. We hope to see my son and family for a short while this afternoon.

In answer to your question, Normally my Christmas dinner is roast potatoes and peas. Not much I know but thats just me ha ha.

I would like to wish you and your family a very happy and peaceful new year and thanks for your friendship over the past few years, Brian

  • Hi Brian

Really sorry to read that you have been unwell and only just getting your mojo back.  Not the best of ways to enjoy the festive season.  Hope that the start of 2019 will see you feeling much better and being able to enjoy your treats again as well as meeting  up with the family.

No sickness bugs here thankfully though son and son in law both sporting colds over Christmas Day.  Nonetheless we all saw each other and enjoyed quality family time and baby Ethan (now 5 months) has cut two teeth in the past week!.  Tomorrow I go and spend new year with my daughter and family before life gets back to normal.  Mind you as I was working onBoxing Day the festivities were short and sweet.

Visited Mum yesterday and have been back to the gym today.  Seems somewhat strange being so mild and not needing any heating on but no doubt we will pay for it at some point when the temperature dips.  I have even been out in the garden doing bits here and there.

Thank you also for your continued support here on the forum. It will be four years on the 3rd since John died and I am so thankful for family and friends who carry me forward to make new memories whilst still remembering the old ones.

A very happy New Year to you all.  Jules

  • Good morning Jules,

Happy new year to you and your family.

Hope you have had a great time at your daughters and have not eaten too much ha ha. Bet the time has flown by for you especially as you had to go into work in between the holiday. This must have taken some of the gloss off.

Yesterday I decided to try and back up my computer. When they did an update, It must have changed some of my settings so I had to re-set them before I was able to start to back up. Started at 9.30 yesterday morning. By dinner time it had reached 48% them just after dinner it shot up to 97% completed. It didnt finish until about 8.30 last night, the longest I have ever knownit to take. This morning I have tidied up my story folders and have copied them to a CD as I dont want to lose all my Hard work.

One of our club members has sent me about 70/80 pictures he had taken of our show which I shall use some of the photos to make a Show Special with a list of all the winners of the varies competitions we had  which I will e-mail to our members. So shall be starting on that next.

Hope return to work is not too hectic with the sales starting and all that.

Wishing you and all your family a very happy new year, Brian
