Hi Jules we were lucky with our bathroom our son is a gas fitter and told us to go to our caravan for three weeks he did not say why properley but we new it had something to do with our bathroom .What a shock when we came home a new walk in shower, new loo ,and wash stand with cuboards the lot and would not take a penny of us. if you go on his site it has comments like, Karl does a great job but he is always very hard at it and you can not get him..That speaks for itself .,nice and dry in timperley today and not to cold had two good walks with RIA .regards to you lol
Hi George,
Unfortunately cannot move out during proposed works as still need to go to work and though both my children offered refuge travelling would be an issue ha ha. Still, only me to consider and know the workforce (they did my kitchen a couple of years ago) and no doubt all willbe fine in a couple of weeks!
The snow we had has now been replaced by mild temperatures and the daffs are 'in recovery'. Great that you and RIA are still enjoying your walks. Take care of yourself.Jules
Hello George, nice to hear from you and glad you managed to get through the rough weather. (Hope your son didn't send you to your caravan during that!)
Hope you and yours are all well, and Ria of course. Take care, Hazel xx
Hi Jules,
Went shopping first thing then took both of us to put flowers on our mothers graves. Unfortunately where my mother is buried, it is always very wet at this time of year. Took my grass clippers and trimmed round the headstones. I need a warn dry day as my mothers headstone in covered in algie and badly needs cleaning. I have the solution to clean it with just need it to be a bit warmer.
I am very pleased with my fat free fryer. It works very well and I am now able to cook some very nice chips. Still cant get the hang of my new projector as yet but I wont give up.
Glad you were able to get to see your mother. How nice you read her those items. Although she may not show it Jules, I bet she appreciates your visit and secretly looks forward to them. Hope you renovations continue apace and bet you will be pleased when its all done and dusted. I had to laugh at you comments about a new hair style. We will have to call you Dusty Barnett ha ha.
Brianitus is still alive and well as I bought a pack of pistachios and another of cashews today. So I'm still as nutty as ever according to Mrs B. Dont suppose I will ever change either
Sending kind thoughts and hugs your way, Brian
Hi Brian
So pleased you were able to get out with MrsB both for the shopping and to pay respects to your mothers especially with Mothers' Day coming up this weekend. I bought my Mum an orchid plant and left the card for the staff to open for her on Sunday as I will be visiting my daughter along with my son and family.
Renovations going well and have the plasterer here today and tomorrow and no nasty surprises to worry about so far! 'Dusty Barnett' made me chuckle but as was the case before I married,I am managing fine washing my hair over the kitchen sink ha ha. Will soon be back to normal and I do have the gym facilities to use too which is only a 15 min walk away (been there today). To be honest feel more sorry for the neighbours with the noise levels.
Great to know that Brianitus is still going strong. Love cashews but you can keep the pistachios ...never been a fan which was always good news for hubby as he had a batch to himself!! I don't buy cashews very often as no will power to stop at the tiny amount allowed ha ha.
Have just been asked to take some photos at the gym (kind of Meet the Team shots) so just waiting for a suitable date. Will make a change from my usual photos!!
Hope you and MrsB have a lovely weekend and that MrsB has a good Mothers Day herself. Kind thoughts and hugs returned my friends. Jules
Hi Jules,
Just a quick post to say Mrs B has been in hospital all day. She collapsed after breakfast and I had to call the ambulance. They think she may has gastro enteritus but heavens knows where she picked it up from. They have been busy pumping fluids into her all day. She is still in A,& E at the moment. They are trying to find a bed on one of the wards for her. They may be sending her home in the morning but wont knoe until then.
Will find out more in the morning hopefully. Worried the daylights out of me this morning.
Take care, Brian
Thinking of u both Brian. Hope she gets on a ward asap and quickly responds to treatment. Hugs sent. Jules
