I have at last managed to get back out to my garage. I have turned a English Walnut trinket box with an Idigbo lid and an African Walnut knob. I have such a good fit with the lid I can pick it up by the lid alone; in fact It was too tight at first as I couldnt get the lid off.(Picture attached) Its surprising how much sawdust came from this one item; a small bucket full in fact. My new hoover makes short work of cleaning up so makes life a lot easier.

Have now got clear plastic tubes for making my new range of lighthouses; something I must get busy on as I have to glue the sections up before turning.Will let you see results when I have completed them.

It was lovely have Darcey for a couple of hours this morning. Both mum and baby are thankfully now cleared of the thrush the the poor little mite was having her first jabs this afternoon. 8 weeks old today and a delight.
I also had a friend round for coffee and then once Mum and baby had gone home we set off for a stroll around the shops and had a light lunch before she too headed home and I went to the gym before coming home and spending a couple of hours with my feet up in the garden. Will do some ironing tomorrow before visiting Mum but the packing gets done the night before so not thinking about that yet ha ha.

Oh my goodness, she is even more cute now than when we first saw her, what a lovely little smile!!! (Hope it soon came back after her jabs today, bless her.) 8 weeks old already, gosh that seems to have flown by. Glad they are both okay now, would have been a shame if it had spoilt the holiday for them.
Hi Hazel my daughter in law has set a hall up for his birthday and it's late tomorrow night will need to nap during the day so I have enough energy to get me through the night. Take care -Diane x
Darcey and my two grandsons come to that, seem to grow very quickly but perhaps it just seems that way because of how old I am haha.
Visited Mum this morning in beautiful sunshine and stayed a little longer than usual as she was in an okay frame of mind and also I will obviously not be able to go in next week. Popped home on the way back to the gym as it was looking like rain and thankfully got my washing in all nice and dry. 2hrs on and the first spots of rain have arrived ,unfortunately no time to mow the lawn oops. Cannot even save that job for a rainy day ha ha.
