My Dad has recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer (I say recently-within the last 6 months) he's had all sorts of procedures and biopsies and it's now been decided he will have it completely removed and have a bag. My question is how do we go about seeing there's any financial help for himself and my mum (she is having to take time off work and majority is unpaid) he has recently retired so not sure if he's entitled to anything.

Can anyone offer any guidance on where to go next? I'm trying to relieve some of the pressure off of my mum as it's understandably overwhelming.
