Travel to the canaries with reassuring hospital access

Hi. Please can anybody share their experience or thoughts on travel to any of the canary islands. Myself and my husband would like to spend a week away early February and be reassured of hospital access in case of an emergency. We were hoping to do a cruise but my oncologist feels being on the ocean wouldn't be advisable. I have HGS stage 3 ovarian cancer. Will finish my current chemo on 15th Jan. I have yet to get a travel insurance quote but trying to explore the best destination first. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance, and all the very best to you all out there this Christmas. X

  • Hi, we visit Gran Canaria a couple of times a year and are returning in May. I have used Insurancewith.com for each trip and have had very reasonable quotes. Most of the other travel insurance companies were in the thousands, whereas Insurancewith.com were a couple of hundred pounds per trip. It’s best to phone them as they will ask questions directly relating to your cancer and that way you will get more appropriate cover. Hope this helps.
