Hi, I’m 53 years old and was diagnosed with stage 4 Prostate Cancer April 2022. Initial PSA of 53.3 and after biopsy, MRI scan, CT scan and bone scan - Gleason 4+5 (9), enlarged lymph nodes in groin, cancer has spread to Iliac bones of both hips, inside ball joint of left hip, rear right of pelvis, Lumbar vertebrae number 4, Thoracic vertebrae number 9. Had chemo May 2022 through to September 2022, which shrunk lymph nodes considerably. Continue with monthly Firmagon injections (PSA dropped to 0.1), Zometa bone infusions every 8 weeks, daily medications including Zomorph tablets and Oramorph for pain relief. I have regular MRI & CT scans and most recent CT scan has shown cancer has now spread to Thoracic vertebrae number 10 and lymph nodes are enlarged again along with rising PSA. Palliative Radiotherapy to Thoracic vertebrae 8, 9 & 10 for pain relief. Medical support from GP and Practice Nurse, Oncologist and Cancer Nurses, Palliative Care Team, local Hospice, Occupational Therapy Nurses and District Nurses.
