Stage 1review meeting

I am being phoned every month from work, to see if my circumstances have changed at the moment going through chemotherapy and radiotherapy after breast surgery.

  • I feel really guilty for being off work. Been off for nearly a year and still no chance of me returning while I'm having treatment. My manager phones every 2 or 3 weeks but that's in the sickness policy for them to do. I'd rather they didn't, I want to be able to forget about work for now.

Meanwhile I'd like to be able to go out and socialise on my good days but guilt about work stops me from doing that, I'm afraid I'll see someone from work and they will think I should be at work if I can go out. Any tips on relieving the guilt?
