I really hope I'm wrong

So in June 2018 I had skin cancer removed by surgery and cleared by December 2018. March 2019 I had symptoms and went to doctor turns out I had stage 3 esophageal cancer. Treated with chemo radio and surgery October 2019 cleared in December 2019. 2020 covid came and now I'm finally getting back to normal ish. Today I am worried because I found a rough bumpy dry patch of skin on my face. Imagine a scab that won't go away. When I had skin cancer I was told for 2 years plus that it was eczema until a *** up by a locum meant I got referred. This patch is very similar and is scaring the crop out of me. I really hope my imagination is just running overtime but I really don't think I can face cancer for a third go. Gotta call GP again in morning. Fingers crossed

  • Hi, I would revisit GP and asks for a referral to go and get it checked out and a second option to put your mind at rest.
I would of thought they would age referred you due to your history anyways

    Keep us all posted

  • Hi shaky I'm surprised they didn't give you something to put on it (any thing you can try) ,it rediculus leaving it and you keeping an eye on it , it wants chasing up by a specialist to make sure .

Be thinking of you know you'll be worried, even if it is nothing to worry about until It's gone.

Take care keep positive and safe.

  • Trying to get an appointment at my GP is a total waste of time The people who are clinicains , not proper doctors are able to issue certain perscriptions. but that's as far as they go. I had a clinitain apponintment. I left there absolutely furious.

I was asked what the problem was. told her. and the comeback I got was, so what is it you want us to do. When my daughter came round I told her what was said. and my daughter told me the same clinitain said the exact thing to her, with her 1 year old. No advice  such as give her a little calpol to break her fever. Yes I know covid19 has played a great part in face to face. but even now GP's wont do face to face appointments even now.  It's so frustrating.
