Hi do what you're comfortable with it doesn't really matter, it's just one way to say that's it finished, when i finished chemo i thought about it but decided no I'm on palliative care so still got cancer but if they ever got rid of my uninvited guest I'd probably brake the bell with happiness. Thank you Hazel. I rang the bell!  I have the photo to show my family and friends and would love to think it did encourage others to see the end does come.  I felt very emotional. I still have 6 monthly infusions of Zoledronic Acid but Its hopefully onwards and upwards from now xx

Glad you made your mind up,and like you said yiuve got a family photo to  look back  on Indeed  onward and upwards .I am now 16 month post radiotherapy for tonsil cancer and living life to the full.

Im so pleased to hear you are doing so well and living life to the full. I'm still feeling unsure about the future after the shock of my breast cancer diagnosis in September and mastectomy in October.  Now my radiotherapy is finished I shall try to do what you're doing and put the last few months behind me and enjoy life again. I'm still a bit in shock at the moment I think.

Hi can deffo go with shock diagnosis inwas the fittest I had ever been at 61 when wham bam out of the blue I ended up on 14 day cancer pathway the rest is history ! Only way I could handle what was  uncontrollable situation was to write a blog Ivan had over 15,000 views when you are felling stronger give it a read it might inspire you ok totally different cancer .

just wondering do you ring the bell after all your treatment is finished I finish my radiotherapy on 31/1/20 that will be 30 in total I have another 2 rounds of chemo to go so finish my last one on 26/2/20 I spoke to the nurse and she has said ring it at the end of your radiotherapy and your chemo not sure if anyone else has done this .

Yes! Ring that bell at the end of your radiotherapy! Coming to the end of 30 rounds is worth celebrating and it will be a psychological finish to that for you. You are doing so well getting through your treatment. Take it a day at a time and make your first goal ringing that bell on the 31st. Please let me know how you're doing.

Hi usually st the end of Radiotherapy but nothing to stop you at end of chemotherapy as well. I had 35 radiotherapy sessions for tonsil cancer and I rung the heck out of it

Thank you Elizabeth I will certainly let you know how I get on this has been a battle for me but I am positive I just hope this treatment works for my small cell lung cancer hope your doing well .
