Hello friends. I was told on Tuesday that the cancer that had been sorted (it seemed) in my bladder had now spread. You will all understand the brick in the head feeling that gave me and my husband! It is now Friday morning and we'ree still in shock. Kepp bursting into tears massive feelng of all this being unreal. Went to see the oncology doctor who was actually very encouraging. Told us not to worry about time scales but to be as positive as possible.  Go to sleep thinking of it, waking up thinking of it. Due to start Chemo in next few weeks. I would value any encouragung words. So need to hear them. Thank you

  • Welcome to the forum although obviously it's not a place you really want to be.   The first few weeks are the worst, once treatment starts you feel like you're being pro active and have a goal to reach.  My hubby has stage four lung cancer and we've been fighting for a year and a half now.  Don't look at time as you previously have,  best advice is each day as it comes, good day make the most of it, bad day hunker down and rest.  I've written everyday since treatment began so I can look back at my posts and see how far we've come.  One last piece of advice,  don't Google anything,  ask people who know your case, they are there to help you find the best way to get the right advice .  Warm thoughts and hugs your way,   Carol
