A long spell of inactivity, must be a good thing, quick question ive tried answering by going through the pages and blogs but not clearly found; timelines on scans?

I had one 3 months post. Then the the stand in consultant gave me results, scheduled me back 7 months later, and when i asked about a scan he said only if necessary. 

Now at the latest appointment my consult asked why i missed my scan last month! Well, she was told what i was told, plus ENT havent seen me since March! She kept calm but think she was furious. Ordered urgent scan ( told me it is nort urgent but overdue so marked it urgent) and emailed ENT.

This was yesterday, got call 10 am, scan Tues. Wow! And 2 miles down the road inbstead of  60 miles up the road.

So it seems here they will do 2 pet scans a year and 4 ENT  checks, seem same as you guys? SEASONS GREETINGS.

Am on 3 monthly check ups with ENT consultant. I had another scan few weeks ago but that was precautionary as double check re gums issue still lingering about.( was all clear )

According to my consultant there is normally no need for further scans and the normal check up at 3 monthly appointments would pick anything up they didnt like the look of.

So I guess, probably right in that you would only get a scan if consultant felt necessary or something merited another one but I think it would just be normal to just have a 3 monthly check up at your stage.

I'm defo going to have a good 2020 as just been on cocktail of drugs again but this time for bad gout attack on knee joint. I think I have paid all my past dues for my previous sins and next year is going to be fabluous.!! I'll put this year down to experience.

Hi Graeme I guess we get slightly different treatment depending where we live Manchester for me I'm on two month check ups had one last week all fine, it's my surgeon that examines me just a quick look in my throat and a feel around my neck. I see my Oncologist in January which will be the first time since April and will be having a scan in the new year yet to be arranged. Personally I feel fine saliva now pretty normal and just a bit dry in the mornings.

out food shoping remember I am the female in this gang.  Lol bet that’s got u all going. 

I don’t get any scans remember I am a tough old Yorkshire bird  

I see my oncologist on 6 jam last saw him 14 jan last year see local ent guy every 3 months feel round neck yanks tongue to one side says all looking goodsee u in 3 months  justshows in U.K. we are all treated different  

I am Good saliva returning slowly ,have had 6 acupuncture sessions think they’ve helped  stillneed 20 min nap at lunchtime literally sleep 20 mins  ate a rib eye rare the other day perfecto  have updated blogthis week with few tips plus found new website that’s pretty good  

Dave just read pogdba  staying. Do uthunk we will keep ole . agree thread is quiet but I’ve got at least 6 in treatment and 3 waiting for treatment to start  

hope we all keep in touch u never know might manage a meet up at some point , have a great Christmas at least this year we can all eat Christmas dinner. And a happy n healthy new year. Off to bake mince pies for the hoardes

There she is I knew it wouldent take long good to hear from you, Im fed up of Pogba I think he`ll go in the summer, as for Ole who knows Hazel? , he`s not consistent enough at the moment but he can only work with the players he has, for me Lindelof, Lingard, Mata, Matic , Young and even Shaw are not good enough.

Thanks Hazel I hope everyone has a great Christmas, Im keeping my distance from Julie she`s got a bad chest Indection, somehow Iv managed to not get a cold or anything in the last 12 months Im only guessing but our throats have had a bad time and I imagine it could be pretty bad If we got anything now.

Just remembered I got called in by my doctors for the flu jab because of the treatment Iv had in the last year, the NHS are brilliant!

Hi Dave I’ve got  the sniffles first ones since pre diagnosis , no such luxury re flu jab we ended up paying for ours at chemists., just shows how different cancer centres work. Yes mines a full cancer centre like yours. .i am dosing up on paracetamol n warm drinks can’t even try  a hot toddy  mouth deffo too delicate. April last year was my last drink, hope yiube git lots of holidays planned for next year ,back to Greece
