Cancer

My dad was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism 18 months ago and has been on oxygen 24 hours a day since diagnosis, he was taken into hospital 3 weeks ago with chest pain where doctors discovered he has stage 4 lung cancer which has spread to lymph nodes and liver they can't treat him so he was sent home with palliative care to be put in place ( nothing has been put in place yet) I'm really worried about him and today he can't pee and his hands are purple is there anyone who can give me any advise of what this could be and also how long my dad will last

  • Make sure you push everyone for as much support as you can get asap so you can have some quality time with him. Talk to the Macmillan nurses about signs your dad is deteriorating so you are informed and can help him. Make sure you have a helpline for evenings and weekends. It doesn't sound like he has long so good luck xx
