  • Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad after your chemo it is not a nice experience I had breast cancer 2 years ago had lump removed then chemo and radio therapy the chemo made me very ill my advice and way of coping listen to your body rest when it tells you to eat small portions of food regularly and ask your doctor to give you something to stop you being sick and a mouth wash is good to help with the sore mouth . Take one day at a time keep positive and after each treatment remind yourself that you have one less treatment to endure I wish you a speedy recovery not an easy journey to travel keep strong you will get there x
  • Hi Gaynor, I had my first chemo for 3 years on Friday for recurrent ovarian cancer, and am also feeling rough, though not as bad as then because I am on a lower dosage this time.  I was very ill each time for three or four days post-chemo last time, so I really feel for you.  However, it does go away, so please be brave and persevere each time, even if you feel that you want to die, as I did!

  • Hey,
I can only say that the more chemo's you get the more you'll get used to it, just try to think positive things. I know it's very hard when you feel like ***. I've had 5/6 chemo treatments. If you have any problems with your mouth after chemo eat ice the next time your in chemo. Just listen to your body and if you can't get up then don't, give your body time to heal. Sometimes it takes 2 days or a week. One nurse said to me that '' if you can only eat chocolate then you eat that, it's better than nothing ''.

    Be strong ! :)
