Ovarian Cancer

Hi,

I was diagnosed with Cancer in March and although we knew it was Cancer its still a shock to be told it. I have had 2  chemo cycles now and have my 3rd at the end of the month. I would love to chat about the chemo side affects to anyone..

  • Hi Ladies,

I have been busy with the move on Friday so not had much time to pop in.. I am really pleased for you Annie that's great news, you must be over the moon. And poor you Sharon I don't know what you must be thinking at this time. Just try and deal with it the best you can & we are all here for you xx

Jackie you have had that cold for ages now, it must be driving you mad. I hope your feeling ok apart from that though.xx

Dot you seem to be doing alright as well and hope it all continues for you as you deserve some good luck xx

Rose you are so funny with your jokes. I was going to say come and see me next week in Hospital but on second thoughts I don't want my stitches bursting open from laughing xx

Well I hope I haven't forgotten anyone if so its my age and I apologise for it. Will send a final message on Thursday as I won't have time after that as I go in on Sunday.....

    Love Eileen xx!www.cancerchat.org.uk/.../love.gif!

just wont to know whats going on thanks again sharon xxxx

  • Hi Eileen,

Glad you managed to move house and get settled before going in,you will be glad of the rest !!

I will try to visit if bloods are OK.What is your surname and how long are you in for?I was in ward 12 for a few hours on Sunday as i came out in a rash on face and neck.Turned out to be an allergy, probably to the woolen poloneck jumper that I wore the day before ,thankfully not my tablets.

Hope you dont get too stressed (easy to say ) and all the luck in the world for next week,we will all be thinking of you and cant wait to see your next post on here.

    Good luck

    Rose xxx

  • Hi Eileen, hope all goes well for you il be thinking of you

lots of love and big hugs sharon xxx

  • Hi ladies

Eileen good luck with the op next week, hope you've managed to settle in your new home.

Dot - hope everything is still going well, not like you not to post for a few days!

Sharon - yes a bit confused, you need to know what problems the surgery could have before you can weight things up. Second scan is a tad confusing unless they are extending the area they are looking at. Obviously you also need to know what they have seen, you suspect its the cancer back and I suspect your right but that in itself don't mean much, where (exactly) is it, how big/extensive, what area/organ involved, advantages/disadvantages of having surgery, how well would chemo do alone, would surgery be followed by chemo.................... think I'd better stop! Sorry but you cannot make an informed choice without these answers, yes the oncologist and the surgeon can give you an opinion on what action they would take but that don't mean you understand where they are coming from and thats important for you to be 'happy' with the decision you make. Do you have a follow up app with anybody after the scan?

Rose - sorry to hear you were admitted but glad it was 'only' an allergy and hopefully easily sorted.

As for me seem to be getting away with the chemo clot wise............... fingers still tightly crossed! 4 down and only 2 to go :D another month and I'll be done!!!!!!!!!!

Keep finding the postive and enjoy everything you do

    Love to all

  • Hi jackie, to right just want to know .hope i get better answers from the scan on saturday.
