I was diagnosed with Cancer in March and although we knew it was Cancer its still a shock to be told it. I have had 2 chemo cycles now and have my 3rd at the end of the month. I would love to chat about the chemo side affects to anyone..
i am so overjoyed, the doctors have ruled out cancer! i have a jelly filled cyst that was causing the tumour markers to be up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope this inspires others who may visit this site. thankyou for all of your support however through all the diagnosis, i will still pop in to see you all . ill pray for you all to be strong and well as poss through your journeys God bless

I just got back from chemo, the low dose was great, much quicker than usual, but didn't seem to improve the time I was there lol, lots of hanging around, got back at 5.30.......I left the house this morning at 9am lol but I feel great.
Big hugs Sharon, it must be confusing for you, not knowing what to do, maybe when the second opinion comes back it may help you make the decision, I found that although I was given options, they did suggest what they thought would be the best way to go.
Try not to worry and I know that is really hard, hopefully you will feel more positive once a decision has been made.

Get some chocs in and curl up in front of the telly then tomorrow go out and have a walk or a nice drive.Hope you feel better soon

Sharon thats not so good. Can you give any more details - talk us though it - it may just help clarify things in your own mind to, have you previously had surgery? no pressure if you don't want to go into detail then don't. As the days pass and you mull over what you were told things may become clearer or not, it would probably be helpful if you jot down any questions which come up so you can discuss these during the second opinion. As Dot says they usually advise you which option to go for and if they don't you can ask them which they would choose.
Dot, glad the reduced dose has left you feeling good, hope it continues and you can enjoy all the time between treatments!
As for me feeling ok now but cannot shake this cold, bored with it now but at least I don't feel bad with it so shouldn't complain.
Hi jackie, to cut a long story short had ct scan july 12th called back aug.something was showing on the scan asked surgeon to veiw it for op.
they have said no now my oncoligist wants me to haveanother ct scan and she wnts a second
oppinion you confused yet cause i am!! but shes told me surgery could leave me with more problems so what am i ment to do? i thinks she prefers that i have surgery instead of just chemo again.
