  • Good Evening ladies,

Hope you're all as well as possible.........Many of us read this thread but do not comment - that doesn't mean we don't miss you all when you're not around as much. Keep it updated so we all know you're coping with things.

Can I ask, have any of you heard from the lovely Rose recently? I'm a little concerned about her at the moment. Please let me know if you've had any contact with her in the last week or so.

    Many thanks xxxx

  • Hi everyone,  haven't been around as have been trying (and succeeding slowly) to get back to a normal life ! however, i hadn't said hi for ages, and when i signed on today i found a spam email in my inbox. It is from someone in sierra leionne - and yes it wants my bank account details. The author (inchrist) says they want to donate money to a cancer charity, but for those of you who do not know, these are one of the biggest scams on the net and myself amongst many many others have been inundated with them in private and personal emails. Please just report them and remember, smile, cos you'll never be that cruel or that sad that you would even consider stooping so low, and carry on supporting each other through these difficult times.

on a much brighter note, i have been really good and i am feeling much more positive. There are so many of you who haven't signed in or left a post lately - i hope you are all doing well and send my love and hugs to you all, and especially the new faces here.

    love sara

  • Hi everyone, I too have not been on for a while and have been getting on with it.  I have had my down days but have started to keep a note of how I feel.  I am doing a lot more but then get lots of aches and pains which I start to worry about, so I thought if I write down what I do and compare to the aches and pains to see if there is a pattern.  I am also taking Femura which is making my finger joints really ache especially in the morning - anyone else on these drugs?  Like to know your side effects.  5 more herceptin treatments to go, so I hope that makes me feel better when that is finished.  I have got my mammogram on the the 8 July 2011, not looking forward to getting my boob squashed as it still feels lumpy!

    Wishing you all the best.

I also got that scam email - but the moderators know.

    Anne

  • Hi Sara, I also had that private message too, but I forwarded on to the spam email dept.

Hope everyone is ok, not been on for ages, feeling fab and back at work full time and swimming 3 times a week.

    Love to you all xxxx

  • Hi Anne I had my first mammogram 3 weeks ago and wasnt looking forward to it as my boob is still lumpy and sore but to be honest it was over and done woth in 10 seconds, thank goodness everything came back clear! I too have sore joints and my arm is still numb, the joint pain is the Tamoxifen, the swimming has been helping my joints tho x

  • Hello all

I've just heard from Rose. She's not too good I'm afraid. The cancer has spread to her lungs and she is currently on oxygen. She has been offered more chemo to extend things but obviously this will make her feel worse, so she is deliberating about what to do for the best.

Rose has often been the first to respond to people on the forum here - many, many frightened people (myself included) have been reassured by her lovely kind words, and I'm sure you'll all be feeling as sad as I am that this dear friend of ours is having to go through this...

Thoughts, prayers, love...please lets send it all her way right now.

    Shents x
