  • Aww Tony, that's the most kisses I've ever seen from you on a message! We love you lots 'our' big man. My ultrasound was clear, the lumps I have is from lymphadema. Need to see the lymph nurse. Thanks for your love n all. Lots of love to you all xxxxxx

  • Hello Lonie

Hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread - as with you all as a past 'sufferer' and always read this thread.

Just wanted to mention I have moderate-level lymphedema and if I can help with any questions you have, please fire away!! Can be infuriating but just do as they tell you, always the best way.

    Take care, Miras xx

  • Hey leonie

Really glad about the ultrasound results. Reckon that deserves a glass of something.

I hope the lymphadema isnt too bad and they manage to sort you out.

Thinking of you and all the other lovely lasses on here...and not forgetting our gorgeous Tony!

    Much love

    Shents x

  • Thank goodness it was clear .Always best to get things checked though. My scan showed no change so that is brilliant, staying on the same chemo and still trying to put on weight for the first time in my life.Hope you are managing with Charly.Love and luck to you as always.

    Tony xxxx

p.s. Leonie, there were lots of kisses as there seems to be so, so many people hurting from cancer....I have a friend called Barbara who is going for bowel surgery on 31May...my Christian house group that I am a member of met up last night to bless and annoint Barbara....we were asked to remember others suffering and out of 14 of us (not counting the 2 of us with cancer) there were a further 4 people noted....there has got to be a better way....I do try and stay strong but just sometimes the cracks appear in my armour :-) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Darlin Tony

U r lucky to have your faith ,but I am sure that adds different challenges. You are the most fantastic support to us (your cancer chat harem !!!!) so please please remember  if the cracks in your armour appear let us try and help xx

lots of love and hugs to all nina  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    (multiple kisses alert )xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Hello everybody

I am feeling more like myself again... I am so sorry to hear of the worries that are plaguing a lot of you.... but please remember, we are all here to hold you up when things get tough (just the same as you all held me up)

My infection has finally gone... but emotionally I have gone downhill a little bit.... before the reconstruction, I could at least wear my "falsies" and feel pretty normal.. but now I can't even do that anymore.... I have an uninflated implant on my right side and nothing on my left (a slight bump and a dint) and they are doing nothing now for 3 months to give my body time to recover...... I try to give the appearance of it not bothering me....... but it really does.

I am sure I have told you all before that my mum has cancer too... Gastro intestinal stromal tumours..... it is terminal... but the medication she is on was supposed to give her a minimum of 5 years...... Dad told me today it will be a miracle if she see's Christmas.

Tony... I know what you mean about chinks in the armour of your faith.... I used to believe that the lord would never give us more than we could cope with!.......   But now ????  How much more does he expect me to deal with? I've had enough!... so yes.. there are some pretty wide chinks in my armour at the moment too.

I guess you could say i was on a bit of a downer at the moment... I am so sorry for being miserable.... but it seems like this is the only place I am allowed to show my emotions and admit how I really feel.

    Take care

    Love always

    Caz xxxxx

  • Well done Nina,

Always love to hear good news.!!!! You enjoy that party and have a glass from me. Dont forget though that you will take a time to recover from all that you have had thrown at you so still rest  and no  parachute diving for a while

    Stay happy and healthy

  • Good Evening ladies,

Hope you're all as well as possible.........Many of us read this thread but do not comment - that doesn't mean we don't miss you all when you're not around as much. Keep it updated so we all know you're coping with things.

Can I ask, have any of you heard from the lovely Rose recently? I'm a little concerned about her at the moment. Please let me know if you've had any contact with her in the last week or so.

    Many thanks xxxx
