  • Hi ladies

Sorry I've not been on for a while. I do keep checking the page but been a little lost for what to say really. Can't believe we lost our first lady from this page. Can't believe it was Lou. To let you all know though, the funeral was lovely. Everybody in bright colours n loads of people went to pay their respects. Everybody did her proud. One of lou's relatives told me about it. also lots of family n friends there to support the kids n Nigel. So good news really.

I'm doing ok no change with me. How are you getting on now Rose? I hope your arm is better by now. How about the rest of you ladies? Let's get this page up n running again n helping others get through their journey. It's what we do isn't it!

I'm going up to Brighton for a few days to visit jons family but will be in touch again soon.

Love to you all. Leonie xxxxxx

Lou has certainly shocked us and on the other thread David has lost his fight as well so 2 in one month.Far too much pain because of this.

Hope you have a great time sweetheart.

    Speak soon.

    Rose xx

  • Hi Ladies (and jeff )

I've asked a lady called Jemima to come and join you here on this thread as she is in need of help, advice and support for her daughter - recently diagnosed with BC and secondaries to the bone.

    Her thread is here  http://cancerchat.cancerresearchuk.org/message/32726#32726

I've given her the link for this one - because it's where people tend to hang out and offer the most constructive first hand advice on BC.

I really hope she pops over because I know you girls will help her through this confused time.

Even though I don't comment on your thread I always read what you are all getting up to and follow your stories with interest. It's lovely to see the way you all support each other

    Hugs

    Dizzie xxxx

  • Hi Dizzie

I have just read your post and immediatley went to the thread of Jemima's and read it, I really do hope she does come on here because without the help andf support from all the other ladies and gents on here I do not know hwat I would of done, especially in my dark days.

I will drop Jemima a post on her thread as well to ask her to join us and read all the posts on here regarding this awful subject.

Ladies and Gents how are you all? I have not been on for a little while as had so much going on, the update to my niece is she has been told she needs a bone marrow transplant, all her siblings have been tested but the best match they got was 50 percent so now all the family are being tested except myself. I have been told I cannot get tested, hard to except when you have a 28 year old niece with luikiemia needing a bone marrow transplant.

I have also been to the oncologist regarding my hands as 2 fingers on each hand have really started to ache and want to  lock all the time, has anyone else experianced this? I havee to go and see a Nurologist first to see if the Chemo has damaged my nerve endings and then they will take it from there. It souinds bad me moaning about my fingers when so many more ladies are just starting the fight, I cannot believe it was a year ago I first came on here how time passes.

So glad to see so may of the originals now going of on holiday and getting their lifes back, it does make me smile.

Caroline good luck with the op will be thinking of you, Tony I have followed some of your posts as you never really seem to come into our chats very often now, and all the rest of you lovely ladies

Take Care and speak to you all soon

  • I am new and have just had my 3rd dose of chemo Do these side effects get any better.. My mouth is sore Im carry nausea around all day even with pills n potions I just never seem to get any relief UNTIL a few days before next dose is due...Any little secrets you got out there for some relief would be greatfully received Thnx xx

    Jane

  • hi jane

i think you should ask to try another anti sickness drug and that might help with the nausea,as for does it get better well you just hope, but i know that when i was having my chemo tablets,i could not wait to take the last dose, but hopefully there will be good news for you when the chemo is over so try to stay strong and as positive as you can.

  • Hi Jane, welcome to our forum, sorry its not under better circumstances. I really think you should ask to get your medicaltion changed as I wasnt sick except the day afyer my first session of chemo and then I was fine, is it fec-t youre having? If so just be aware that when your chemo changes over to the T on the 4th session, thats the toughest, Im sure most women will agree, it just makes you feel really tired and all your bones really sore. Good Luck.

Leonie, enjoy your holiday and Rose glad youre feeling better, Im still doing well.

    Take care Col xx

  • littlesis, how are you? long time no hear lol, think you and me joined this forum about the same time, Good luck for your niece I really hope she finds a match, hope youre doing well. Lotsa love Col xx
