I'm sorry to hear that your recent biopsy confirmed that there was cancer present. It is possible for breast cancer to spread into the surrounding skin without it being inflammatory breast cancer, so it's worth checking with your cancer nurse or specialist to get some clarity on the type of breast cancer that you have. 

I can see from another post that you made that your CT scan didn't raise any immediate cause for concern, and this is great to hear. Hopefully, the team have all the information they need now to decide on the best course of treatment, and they will be able to talk through these options with you soon. 

This period of waiting can be really difficult, but many people say that once a treatment plan is started, they feel less anxious about things. If it would help to chat with one of our nurses while you're waiting for news then you're welcome to call them.
