Hi Claw and a warm welcome to the forum, though sorry you have to be here and have prostate cancer. my situation is a little similar, i am Gleason10, aggressive, spread to many places and because of other health issues my treatment was limited to radiotherapy a year ago and hormone therapy which i have been on 20 months, but recent tests show it is not working as well as it was. I do have some pain, but i am limited to paracetamol only, which i max out most days. Physically i have slowed down but i'm still ok doing most things, emotionally i am pretty good, i do have down days, though i try to be positive. Claw obviously i don't know medical history, cut when you say no treatments is that all of them, I'm sorry if i sound insensitive but there must be one where the reward outweighs the risk best wishes.

Hi Eddie.... many thanks for your kind words.  Unfortunately I had a Stroke in 2018 and now also have Vascular Dementia.  So 3 consultants said the same to me, ... the treatment that I need is Chemo, or Radiotherapy, and Hormone Therapy,  but because of my past, it would kill me within 6 months.   So I have to just put up with the pain and keep going until the end.

One thing though that  I have personally felt, is that it's hard work trying to get support from someone else, or organisation when they hear how bad you are with the Cancer. 

So my heart goes out to you buddy, as it seems that we are both in the same boat until the end.

Truly sorry to hear that Colin, general anaesthetic or chemo would kill me in days. I am good with support, I have my hospice and their palliative care team, who offer so much support, PS they do so much more than end of life care, you can ask your GP for a referral, and you can ask your GP for a district nurse referral too, they will be able to access aids and services for you. I also go to Maggies, www.maggies.org for therapies, support and advice, they are a cancer charity you can drop in between 9am and 5 pm weekdays, no appointment needed and have helped me through difficult times, and I have counselling at a local charity, though my hospice would give me it too. Colin the palliative care team are really good at pain management and may be able to help, If i can help or you just want a chat, you know here i am. best wishes my friend.

Hi Eddie.... thanks for the help.

Strange how you was mentioning about the Hospice, because my local Hospice rang me yesterday afternoon to offer me with help from the Pallative care team. They said a Consultant & a  Specialist Nurse will be there along with others to help and support me & my wife.   Im Just a bit worried though as to what they will also say.  But hopefully next week I can start getting some help at last.
