Hi wildandfree. Your story is eerily the same as mine (kind of)...diagnosed with rectal cancer oct 2023, radio done, currently going through chemo (capecitabine & oxaliplatin) & surgery after, if all goes well.

Just a side note to when I got diagnosed, I was told I had 3 nodules on my left lung, had a ct scan during my chemo for my lung and was told they're "not concerned".

My thought, is the capecitabine keeping the nodules from growing therefore making it look like they're not cancerous? So many thoughts but no worries as 1 cancer is enough to focus on at any given time.

Thanks so much for your reply. I have been hoping in the back of my mind they are not cancerous but my oncologist thinks otherwise and he should know. Having a biopsy on nodules on your lungs is notoriously difficult so we are making assumptions based on what they look like. Lets hope he's wrong! Good luck with your treatment. 

I was same with my bowel after colonoscopy, doc said cancerous even before biopsies were tested...it's a fine line not wanting to believe them but equally trying to remind yourself they are the professionals. 

I really do hope tests come back clean for you, still plenty of support on here regardless of the results.
