I'm sorry to hear that yesterday was a real struggle for you. I hope that you and your wife have been able to celebrate your birthday today, even if only in some small way. 

It's understandable that you will both have days where things seem overwhelming, particularly as you're still waiting to see the oncologist to discuss your options. Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer and they will be able to give you some positive news. 

Don't forget that if either you or your wife want to talk with someone we have a team of nurses available to chat with. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Feeling lost at sea seems a MORE than natural reaction in your circumstances.

I've found this forum through desperation, in a fragile state, hearing people's experiences which resonate with mine (I'm not trying to compare) is somewhat comforting.

Please consider giving Maggie’s a call , there. you can arrange to go in and have a chat with someone or have a chat over the phone. I think they can arrange counselling too x Sending a hug x

i will i spoke to vikki my macmillan nurse today and that was a positive chat so i can call anytime i need to.

First of all, happy birthday for the other day! I hope you found some joy in your day.

I'm so sorry to hear this, the world is such a cruel place. It's completely normal and fine to have days like this, I'm having them a lot myself recently. Thinking about life without my partner who is only 29, it's a very bleak, draining and overwhelming mental place to be. I have found it can often help to look for the small wins everyday, no matter what it is, the little things usually do give us the most happiness.

Anyway, I'm thinking of you, sending all my love to you and your loved ones. Keep speaking to us, we're always here x

Thank you i did got out today with some friends from work and even tough i was tired after 3 hours i had a really good time i guess thats a little win 4me.
