Thank you Rosie, you are truly so kind hearted and I'm honestly so grateful for you, I did feel like I'm not alone in this process and felt brave and strong as I sat waiting and waiting as I thought of you having to go through this on Wednesday and I thought of Lucy at 3pm. It enabled me to switch my brain to practical mode until he said the results were delayed then I burst into tears and used up all the scratchy kitchen paper they offered me!

I hope that you manage to sleep tonight, I found the last few days the hardest, let me know what time you are being seen

so sorry that you had the news you were expecting confirmed but glad that it is small and treatable.  The treatment plan so far sounds positive and I have no doubt that you will kick butt.

Hi Jolimine,

Its invasive ductal carcinoma. I've had lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy....my lymph nodes looked fine on the scan so I'm hoping they're clear.

Mine started in areola...could only feel it..then could see it..had an excisional biopsy...cancer in margins 

Then they did a wide local excision and perforator flap...removed nipple and did  sentinel node biopsy...

This time it was clear , grade 2...so...this should be reassuring for you...chin up

Hi Jenny,

I am so sorry to hear that your fears have been confirmed. I know that the thought of more biopsies will fill you with dread, but you're as well to find everything that is there, so that you can hit it with the right treatment from the outset. Lumpectomy, radiotherapy and Tamoxifen are all perfectly 'doable', so I wish you luck and hope that you don't have any side-effects.

I am so sorry to hear that your results are not through yet. You must feel really frustrated by this.Still, it's good to see that your consultant is being thorough and making sure that he doesn't miss anything, as you're better to get it all attendd to from the outset.
