Hi
I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in April last year. I had an MRI scan for another problem & a 4 centimetre tumour showed up which I was totally unaware of as being very large breasted I hadn't noticed anything unusual . I also had 3 cancerous lymph nodes under my left arm & due to this I was started on chemotherapy almost immediately with 4 courses of FEC & 4 courses of docetaxel & carboplatin followed by a full mastectomy & lymph node dissection in November but then I developed lymphadema in my left arm almost straight after the operation so I'm now wearing a compression sleeve & have to do daily lymph massage to help drain the fluid.
I've had my results back just before Xmas to say everything has come back negative and it's the best possible outcome for me but I still have to have a course of radiotherapy which is due to start this month which means daily trips to the hospital for 3 weeks but hopefully once that is done things will be better for me
