Hi
I was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer in April 2019
My tumour was 3 & half centimetres by 1 centimetres & I had 3 cancerous lymph nodes under my left arm . I am very large breasted so I hadn’t noticed a lump it was a random MRI for another problem that picked it up . I started 6 months of chemotherapy almost straight away due to it being in my lymph nodes and had 4 lots of FEC followed by 4 lots of docetaxel & carboplatin followed by a full left breast mastectomy & lymph dissection in November . I am now awaiting an appointment for a course of radiotherapy which should be happening this month but I have also developed lymphedema due to my lymph nodes being removed which is incurable but manageable & I was told that my results from the mastectomy was completely negative which couldn’t be a better outcome & all the family are congratulating me & saying I should be over the moon with the results.
I should be happy at the outcome but I have no hair ,no eyebrows ,no eyelashes , one breast & lymphedema & feel like a freak and want to cry all the time . Is this a normal reaction ?
