Hi 
 I know your post is a while ago but I too have a large lump / bulge in the front wall of my vagina , Gp said she could feel the bulge and also  a lump when pressing on my abdomen so I have had a 2 w referral with gynaecologist for cancer .!!    ( appointment tomorrow ) I started a chat a few days ago but heard nothing . 
Never even heard of a 2w referral for suspected cancer and was freaking out !  If things were explained  it would of been easier to understand at the time  I saw the Gp ! 
I have been searching for answers to reduce my anxiety. 
 

Any information would be appreciated 

Hi a 2 week referral is under emergency screening for cancer I too am scheduled for one I knew I would be anxious whwn I got home so I asked my Gp too many questions lol.

A 2 week referral like i said is for emergencies to check for cancer if it's a non emergency you will be put on a long waiting list to be seen.

Depending on the patient and symptoms depends upon how concerned Gp might be 

My Gp said it's better to be safe than sorry

Hi , Thank you got your message   my post was a while ago now but yes it turned out to be a prolapse and later after scans found a cyst on my ovaries but nothing to worry about . I do like to get as much information as possible when I don't understand situations and I did alot about the 2 week referral , my issue was that the doctor at the time said it's either a prolapse or it's cancer ? So as you can imagine I was shocked , she really should not of said that to me.
My husband was diagnosed with bowel / liver cancer in February he's just finished chemo and hopefully he can have a operation to cut it out !! Such a horrible disease . X
