Lump inside vagina wall

Hi I have lichen sclerosus, on examining myself today I have found a large lump inside my vagina wall. It doesn't hurt. I have lost the other side due to the lichen so I am naturally larger the other side, but this is a lump inside the vagina wall... thank you for reading if anyone has any thought I would be grateful x

  • Hi, I've never been on a forum on here before and it's very difficult to read how worried everyone is, I really hope you all got checked up and are doing well. I found a lump too and that's how I ended up here but later discovered that what I was feeling was just my cerix. It moves thoughout your cycle and can sit as low as 3 inches feeling like a large firm lump to the touch. I'm posting this because sex education has often failed us and it sounds like what some of you might be experiencing is the same, I hope it is. Monitor it and go to the gp if you have the slightest doubt. Good luck ladies, sending you all love :)

  • hey I know this was a while ago when you posted that but I was wondering if you found out what it was, I'm 17 and have it and don't know whether it's nothing or to go the docs, hope your doing well x

  • Hey! I'm having the exact same issues right now. I have a lump inside my vagina with no symptoms (doesn't really hurt) it's kinda soft, but hard? Don't really know if that makes sense. I am 18 years old, so around the same age as you.
Do you have any updates on your lump? I hope everything's okay!

    All the best!

  • Hiya, ive not been to the doctors or anyting, im still fine ive also never had my period so im not sure if the lumps is because of that but im still a bit nervous to be honest. its not rhurting me either unless i press on it(to see if it was still there) ive not had a look at the symptoms im not even sure on anything as ive not had a look about it, mines also like soft/hard its like a bit of skin sorta its weird. hope your okay if you end up going doctors etc let me know how it goes(if its alright with you). stay safe<3

  • hey, thank you so much for your reply!

Thanks for updating me, I'm glad it hasn't gotten any worse for you, I can understand how nerve wracking this is as I've just recently got it and im thinking the worst.
Mine feels the exact same!!! It feels like skin, but also a lump, so I'm confused as to how I should even describe it.

I've done a little bit of research, and the least scariest issue I can find is a bartholins cyst? Your bartholins glands are right under your vagina hole, left and right (sorry really not the correct terminology). My lump is on the right side under the hole, so I'm assuming it could be that. Bartholins cyst tend to not be serious and usually go away on their own, but may take a while.

Is your lump at the place I've described mine?

in regards to the doctors, I'm kind of worried about going, I want to obviously find out what it is but it's just so scary. I've looked at all the alarming symptoms and once I feel like I have any of them, I'll be sure to book a doctors appointment.

    All the best,

  • Hello! I'm really sorry to hear you're worried, I think it's always best to go to the doctors if you can with this type of thing. I never did and I'm ok, I realised it was just my anatomy and it's very possible that what you're feeling is the same too. Please get checked out though, nothing bad can come of it, either everything's fine and you're given piece of mind (most likely option) or you've found something that needs attention and can begin to sort it out. Keep me updated if you'd like, I know these are horrible feeling to face alone, hope you're ok and remember doctors are only there to help! <3
