  • Welcome to the Cancer Chat forum J.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any recent discussions about this treatment on the forum but you're more than welcome to give our cancer nurses a call about this on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I know you're feeling lonely and scared so I wanted to put you in touch with [@Julesb]‍. They have been on this journey and will know what you're going through at the moment so hopefully they'll pop by soon to offer their support.

Wishing you all the best with your treatment J.

  • really sorry if this is too late to help.  i was diagnosed aug 2019.  For personal reasons i refused colostomy and was referred to on for papillon.  i had 4 sessions with a two week gap inbetween each session.  The round  trip was about 11 hours as it couldnt be done locally.Treatment takes about 2 minutes and while a bit awkward it was similar to sigmoidoscopy.  staff were brilliant.  i had radiation after and have just had results of latest scans which were clear. nearly three years on.  i wish you all the very best.
