10 years after breast cancer

I am a 69 year old, fit female, doing well post-end of cancer treatment but developed Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) 3 years ago, controlled by steroids. The PMR has now gone, but 2 years ago I started to get weak, slightly wobbly legs & struggled when walking up inclines, and this remains. My Rheumatologist is wondering if my current condition is a late onset of neuropathy caused by the chemotherapy (FEC-T regime) in 2016.

I wonder if anyone else has experience of this?

  • Hi Golflady I had FEC-T in 2013 for breast cancer.  I have been left with peripheral neuropathy in my feet.  Some days It is fine and other days I have lots of pain in my feet and hobble around.  I don't have weak and wobbly legs though.  Maybe get it checked out properly.
