Help: 5 weeks post op for invasive breast cancer, been using Letrozole for 2 weeks and feel really unwell

Hi I’m 5wks post op for invasive breast cancer no radiotherapy due to stage 1 margins clear and health problems won’t allow radiation. I have been using Letrazole for 2 weeks and feel worst I’ve ever felt in my life. Feel sick, not focusing mentally at all, exhausted, headache comes and goes I can’t explain how bad I feel. Any help here would be welcome ty

  • A very warm welcome to the forum Alfiesme although I'm sorry to hear what has happened since you starting taking Letrozole.

    Whilst side effects can vary from person to person, if what you're currently experiencing is making you feel really unwell then don't hesitate to let your medical team and/or GP know.

    Hopefully some of our members who are taking Letrozole will share their experiences and advice with you soon but if it would help to have a chat about this with one of our cancer nurses, they're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on 0808 800 4040. They're very well informed and with their knowledge and insight they will do all they can to support you and address your concerns.
