I’ve join so that I can help my goddaughter who has had breast surgery & will have radiotherapy soon.
Will she be able to drive to & from her radiotherapy appointments? About 25 miles each way.

Heya.
Tell us more. I was diagnosed in 2013 after a few tests. I found it helpful reading information booklets and talking to the nurses. Maybe you can see if you can access a local cancer support group too. Best wishes.
Hi. I felt sick after radiotherapy, so my daughter drove me back and forth. Atthe hospital where I was treated, they had volunteer drivers that would provide transport for those who didn't have it. That might be available at her hospital. I was given a lot of leaflets about the help I could get and what to expect at an appointment before the treatment began. I would think your goddaughter would have them too.
One thing I'd definitely advise is for her to moisturise before the radiotherapy. It helped me a lot.
It's good that she has you to help her through this.
Thank you. Very helpful
Thank you
Hi Elvyn, I am sorry to hear about your Goddaughters diagnosis. I had chemo and then 15 lots of radiotherapy. I drove myself to and from hospital when I had radiotherapy. She should be able to drive, I was okay. Guess everyone is different. Aloe Vera gel in fridge helps with the skin.
