Grade 3 breast cancer aged 35 - My head is all over the place, not knowing how to feel or what to do. I feel like I'm in limbo

Hi all I got diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of weeks before Christmas and I’ve had to keep going back and forth to hospital every week for biopsies as they think they are missing something. I’ve got 5 young children (oldest is 11 youngest is 3). My head is all over the place not knowing how to feel or what to do. I keep a smile on my face everyday for my family and friends but cry my heart out in bed every night. Hoping I get a plan in place soon so I can start fighting it as at the moment I feel like I’m in limbo. This is the first time ive reached out to talk to someone other than my cancer nurses at hospital

  • Hi Mammyof5,

I noticed you haven't had a reply just yet and seeing as this is the first time you've tried to reach out, I wanted to offer you a very warm welcome to Cancer Chat and reassure you that your post has been seen.

I'm sorry you've been diagnosed with breast cancer and are anxiously waiting to find out what happens next. As so many of our members will be able to confirm just how difficult this period of limbo, so you are not alone and hopefully you will receive some support and advice from the community soon.

If it would help to talk to someone about what you're going through, you can give our cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to support you whilst you wait.

Coping with a breast cancer diagnosis can be very tough but we're sending you all our strength and support and hope you won't have to wait too much longer for a treatment plan.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
