Hello Meljarv and welcome to Cancer Chat,
I hope members who may have had this biopsy can reach out to you, but if you'd like further information on the bone marrow test we have advice on our website, including what to do after the test in case of complications.
I do hope this is useful and all the best,

Good afternoon Anastasia,
I had an appointment with my Consultant yesterday. He listened and took notes, he said if patients experienced more pain than described in the Bone Marrow Biopsy leaflet then it is important that they submit feedback/complaint so that an investigation can be conducted and the procedure improved.
I can’t help thinking if someone had provided feedback /complained then I may not have suffered. I am currently on antidepressants because of this operator.
Kind regards
Melanie
I have to add that charities are enabling poor practices to continue as they do not provide advice on what is and is not acceptable pain during a BMB. Patients are suffering unnecessary pain because of this.
can you please pass this up your chain of command to the management for their consideration.
Management, can you please consider a way forward for this issue. I have spoken to a number of people who have experienced extremely painful BMBs when there was no need. A BMB can be uncomfortable but not to the point of excruciatingly painful as some people’s experiences.
I await your reply
