I am sorry to hear of all that you have been through and know just how difficult it can be to take Letrozole. I had to have both of my knees replaced, as a result of these side-effects. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer. I had a Lumpectomy the first time, followed by Tamoxifen. Less than a year later, I discovered another cancer in the same breast. This time I had a double mastectomy and changed to Letrozole. The side-effects of the Letrozole were certainly more marked in all of my joints. I understand that this is a common problem. Unfortunately, some 14 years on, I still have problems with all of my joints, but it is hard to tell whether or not this would have happened with the progression of time anyway. I persevered with Letrozole for 6½ years and, despite all of the side-effects, I would do it all again, as I am fortunate enough to now be 15 years from diagnosis. My consultant advised that I tried Starflower Oil Capsules to ease the pain. Unfortunately, I didn't find these of any help.

Have you spoken to your care team about how you feel? They may be able to adjust your dose, or even to prescribe another hormone therapy instead?
