Hi i have just been diagnosed with this , and i'm waiting to see what can be done for me ?
Hi Nic
I'd suggest your symptoms are quite concerning, and I certainly wouldn't accept a clear CT as being nothing further to worry about. I'm not medically qualified but your symptoms do align with potential issues with your liver, pancreas, or biliary system. The CT is most likely correct, and you are free of suspicious masses. However, that doesn't mean there isn't something medically amiss. Has your doctor ruled out diabetes? Has the doc done a FBC inc. all the liver function tests?
I'd certainly press on and insist more is done. Don't accept the results of the CT as being the end of the matter.
Please let us know how you get on.
Good luck!
Craig
Yeah however they found a small lucent lesion on my spine so I don’t know if my symptoms could be linked to that. Yeah I know that’s why am still worried, yep ave recently been tested for it and that was fine too. Yep I went to A&E because of my pains and they did them then and that was August I think, however am hoping they will repeat them for me.
I will do and thank you! Good luck with everything too.
I agree Craig - definitely worth pressing with GP
Let us know how you get on Nic - and good luck x
Jackie
Yeah the problem is he doesn’t think it’s serious, which I know is a good thing.
I have an appointment next week with him, he’s going to examine me, but hopefully he will send me for some bloods. Thank you and I will do x
Hi again so I have been back to the Drs yesterday he examined me and said he’s happy, but still concerned about my weight loss, night sweats and itchy skin so he sent a request to haematology which has been rejected due to my bloods been okay, yet my LDH levels were raised a bit and my neutrophil were on the lower side, however I have had a the blood tests done again today so if they come back abnormal surely they will look into it further.
So my Pet scan shows the tumour has cuffed around the main veins, so i started chemo last weds , to shrink it then possible op , i have never been so ill the chemo is horrid
Oh no - chemo is horrible. Have they given you anti-sickness etc? The fatigue is really bad too - but just be easy on yourself and rest whenever you can so that you get through all the cycles they want you to - if you can.
