Hello friends! Newly diagnosed with neck cancer

I am John and new to this forum and therefore a newly diagnosed neck cancer person. I’ve got Chemo and Radiation on the horizon and I’m absolutely petrified of what’s coming. I’ve been a nurse for 35 years and never a patient and already it’s challenging. I feel very afraid for myself but more so for my husband Shaun and close family. Our two Cavapoo dogs Ollie and Milo are giving up so much love and attention it’s quite lovely! hopefully I’ll meet a lot of new friends on here. Take care xxx

  • Hi John

Welcome to the forum. Radiotherapy to the neck is particularly challenging especially the last week and week after cessation. There are many here who have had this treatment including me, who can give you advice and tips how to get through it. You deserve some support and kindness after helping others for so long. All the best for whats to come.
